A Fortnight of Shoujo Challenge: Day 7

Heyya minna, It’s Ryuuji Tatsuya!
Welcome to the 7th post of ‘A Fortnight of Shoujo Challenge’! It’s time to celebrate, we have come halfway through the challenge!! Just seven more days, and this challenge will be conquered!

Since the last post focused on favorite female character, this one had to be dedicated to favorite male lead. I’ll be using one male character each from an anime as well as manga series. So let’s not waste any more time and get right into it!

Taichi Kawasumi

That hug is the definition of being physically strong

Kawasumi is the main lead from the manga ‘Hibi Chouchou’. This manga series is actually responsible for enlightening me with the fact that there are actually manga works without any anime adaptations, until then I used to think that manga series are adapted from anime, and there are no original works (Yes, I was that idiotic). Coming back to the topic, Kawasumi is one of those few guys who were able to catch my attention. Hibi chouchou is famous for its theme; shy girl (Suiren) meets shy boy; and that is, what I think, the best thing about Kawasumi. His shy and embarrassed side is shown really often, but we still can’t help but smile because that makes both him and Suiren look just adorable! Don’t think that he’s a coward, oh no, he’s really strong and the ace of the judo club. I was so charmed by his simple attitude that I made him my site logo; and that sure added a cute element in my blog’s beautification (Well he has been replaced by Hori x Miyamura, but he can be back).

Ryuuji Takasu

Oh look, Ryuuji Tatsuya is talking about his favourite shoujo male lead, Ryuuji Takasu! I know this has nothing to with the post but seriously guys, Ryuuji has nothing to do with my selection of this name, it just came into my mind randomly. I have no idea why I said that but let’s move on! I adore Toradora for two reasons, first, it’s story and second, it’s character; and if I’m focusing on the character side, I love it mostly because of Ryuuji! Agreed that he isn’t exactly the most handsome anime guy out there, but he really has an unique personality. He is kind, caring, diligent, hardworking, lovable and above all, a gentleman. He is one of those few male leads who I strive to be like! No matter how much of an insolent and tardy character Taiga was, he didn’t help her only because of the fact that she promised to help him get together with Minorin; that shows just how much he cared for her. Ryuuji really loves her mother, and regardless of the tantrums that she throws at him most of the time (That includes her childish attitude), he never flipped out on her. One of the main reasons that boosted my admiration for him was that he didn’t take much time into deciding who he loves in the concluding episodes, and also the fact that he chose the path of getting everyone’s blessings instead of a rash elopement. Also, is it just me or is his manga version looks cool?
Welp, it seems like I’m ranting again, time to apply the brakes!

And with that, the 7th post also comes to an end. So far so good, I hope that this challenge ends as smoothly as it is now. Be sure to leave your favorite male lead in the comments below! Until next time, I hope you guys have a great time, and as always thanks for reading!

Psst! Did you missed the other posts? Don’t worry…

  1. Half way through Ryu-kun! CONGRATS BRO! (That’s actually a kpop reference, but like… nevermind)

Also, Ryuuji Takasu is NOT your namesake huh? I guess I know why you had to clear that up because I definitely assumed it was XD What with Toradora and everything.

As for my picks Ryu-kun, Hak from Akatsuki no Yona, Ren from Skip Beat (Why does thing give me a weird sense of deja vu?) Kudou Senri from Seiyuu ka (I relate to this guy so much it isn’t funny), and I can go on, but I won’t spam LOL

    Once again, half way through>>>>

    1. Yeah, Halfway through! *0*)/
Thanks for the support (And for the Kpop reference that I didn’t understand at all *0*)/)

Yeah well you certainly aren’t the only one to ask that, but well, it’s natural to come into that conclusion tho.

I guess I’ll have to read Seiyuu ka to figure out how this guy is like ewe

      Thanks for reading, Auri!
