Heyya minna, it’s Ryuuji Tatsuya!
Here’s the second post of the 3 Days 3 Quotes tag! While writing this post, I realized that Anime has some really great quotes; it’s way too hard to choose one out of a billion relatable and worthy choices. Still, I hope that the 3 quotes I have chosen for this tags are worthy to compete against them.
~Rules~
• Thank the person who nominated you.
• Post a quote for 3 consecutive days (1 quote for each day, can be a super short post).
• Nominate three new bloggers each day.
Once again thanks to the two amazing personalities: Auri and Chizu, for giving me this opportunity. You guys are the best!! Do check their blog.
Today’s quote isn’t said by any anime character, but it’s still found in the anime. Didn’t get it? The following quote is an excerpt from Oregairu’s second season OP: Harumodoki
“I don’t need a replica. Something real will be enough.”
– Nagi Yanagi (Singer, Harumodoki)
You see, this particular line has been on my mind for a very long time, and to be honest, this quote is actually responsible for a certain change in my thinking. I used to believe that “Sweet Lies are actually better than Bitter Truths” because regardless of the fact that it’s a lie, at least that sweetness can give me hope and strength, while the truth may hurt me all my life and give me trust issues.
However, now I think that it’s better to be real; no matter how bitter and harsh it might be, at least it’s not a facade. I have realized that when the sugarcoated lie is disclosed, it actually hurts more than the bitterness of the reality, and that pain is also enough to give us a depressive episode.
Also, if we look at this certain quote from the bright side, it can also mean that a real and honest relationship is far better than a fake and business minded one. *Sigh* This line is a true masterpiece that can be researched from many angles excluding the one I mentioned; that’s the reason why I love Oregairu so much!
And with that, another short post of the 3 Days 3 Quotes comes to an end. Here’s a question for you guys: Which is better Sweet Lie or Bitter Truth? Be sure to leave a reply to that question in the comments below!
Now then, it’s time to choose 3 more people for this tag~
Nomination Time~!
Ah, I actually remember this line from the song! I learned the lyrics. XD Oregairu’s openings really do fit with the series well.

That’s a pretty quote Ryu-kun!
Also sweet lies better than bitter truth, I am in a gray zone there. If it’s something that will hurt someone and is nothing major, then I am fine with a lie.
But not always.
I don’t know really, it’s a confusing dilemma.

The grey zone, huh? Well no wonder; it’s not an easy decision to make after all.
Thanks for reading, Auri!

That really is a wonderful quote indeed. It really is as Auri said so wonderfully, a difficult balance to find. When would it be a good idea to just tell a lie in order not to hurt someone’s’ feelings, instead of what might be a very ugly truth. Food for thought so to speak.
Two down…one more to go. Looking forward to the last one 😊

It all depends on the situation, I guess? Quite a difficult question indeed.
I’m happy that you liked the quote, Rai San! Just one more!

I think it’s good to be aware of true intentions of both lies and truths. We will be lost if we insist to live in sweet lies only, and our minds will be broken if we stay in bitter truth all times.
Congrats & thank you for nominating me. This is the first time I got this tag. ^ v^)

So according to you, it’s better to maintain a balance between both of them, just as Auri and Rai san said?
Thanks for reading! I’m excited to see your selection of quotes!
