30 Days of Anime Challenge (Post 24)

Good day to all of you, It’s Ryuji Tatsuya with the second post of the day for the ‘30 Days of Anime Challenge’. Today, the topic we’re gonna talk about has some pretty shocking spoilers, so If you don’t want to be spoiled, don’t read this post! You have been warned~

Most Shocking Moment In An Anime:

When I saw this topic for this post I thought, “Was there any moment when I was shocked?” and to find the answer I went through all possible nominees, basically the sad anime like ‘Your lie in April’, ‘Kimi no na wa’ and some sports one like ‘Haikyuu S1’and stuff. However, I more or less knew what is gonna happen in all these anime. But the one series I chose for this segment shocked me not only once but today again too. What is that anime? Keep guessing. (Hint: It’s an underrated one)

The anime series that had the most shocking scene for me, is a little underrated series called ‘Tokyo Ravens’. I have talked about this anime many times in my previous blogs, because I really liked it and maybe I would be the happiest person on Earth if it got its much needed second season. But today, what I’m gonna talk about is something that happened in episode 20. I just randomly clicked on this episode and I was watching the scenes where Harutora was forced to wear the Raven cape and he got berserk and all and then I remembered the horrific shock that I received when I watched it for the first time. There was this scene after the one I mentioned where Natsume jumped off from sky (While riding her Pegasus K) at Harutora and kissed him to remove the seal that was limiting his powers. However, while doing so, she got hit a couple of times with his berserk mode attacks. I was actually thinking that it won’t be a big deal cause the injuries didn’t seem to be fatal. But then BOOM! She died. Yeah, I know right….. WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF???????!!!!!!!! Probably the biggest shock I got in my anime watching career.
